The Memory Care Homemaker focuses on being a 'Keeper of the Home,' responsible for maintaining an inviting, comfortable, and home-like atmosphere in both apartments and common areas. They also act as a 'Mealtime Maven,' assisting in family-style dining experiences and encouraging residents to participate in meal-related activities, enhancing their sense of community and belonging.

This position requires active engagement as a 'Snack Specialist,' ensuring residents receive snacks and hydration multiple times a day, which supports their nutritional needs in a nurturing way. Additionally, the Memory Care Homemaker is a 'Caring Connector,' providing extra support in the neighborhood to engage residents with meaningful experiences, activities, and companionship. Job Requirements

  • At least eighteen years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional in appearance and conduct
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum eighth-grade proficiency
  • Positive and energetic attitude who loves residents
  • Physically active requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
  • Criminal background clearance

Job Duties

  • Be a keeper of the home responsible for creating a welcoming, comfortable, and tidy environment in memory care apartments and common areas
  • Be a mealtime maven present in the dining room to prepare and serve family-style meals, involving residents in setting the tables and cleaning up
  • Be a snack specialist ensuring residents receive snacks and hydration three times daily
  • Be a caring connector engaging residents in meaningful experiences and providing support in the neighborhood
  • Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and mobility needs including after falls
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in all assigned areas
  • Support fellow team members as needed to enrich residents' quality of life
