The Meeting & Events Planner role at CBRE in Atlanta, GA, is a full-time position that plays a critical part in the execution of small to medium-sized client meetings, events, and conferences. This position resides within the Events job function where the selected candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and delivering seamless marketing events for both internal and external stakeholders. The Meeting & Events Planner will be involved in every phase of event management, ensuring flawless implementation from inception to completion.
In this role, the planner will develop detailed event plans, produce timelines, and coordinate event logistics including vendor management, menu planning, themes, and decor. The planner will conduct pre-event client meetings to align on expectations and ensure all event needs are met. On the day of the event, the planner acts as the primary point of contact, overseeing setup, flow, and tear down to guarantee smooth delivery. Post-event responsibilities include reporting, reconciliation, and recommending improvements to enhance future event success and cost efficiency.
The position requires a blend of organizational skills, customer service aptitude, and problem-solving capabilities, all supported by an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard event planning principles. Job Duties
- Develop end-to-end event plans to ensure flawless execution from start to finish
- Produce detailed event planning timelines and track progress
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor
- Distribute event orders and schedules to vendors and team defining event specifics
- Create timelines and floorplans for set-up, event flow, and event set up and tear down details
- Oversee pre-event client planning meetings including acquiring vendors, menu planning, theme and decor, budgets, etc.
- Support event communication and marketing plan
- Solve issues as they arise
- Act as key contact for day of the event and ensure seamless event delivery by operations team and vendors
- Confirm load in, set up time, and verify certificate of insurance is on file
- Support events team with execution
- Direct event set-up and tear down, welcome guests, support attendee and speaker requests
- Conduct post-event reporting and reconciliation
- Suggest recommendations for continuous improvement and cost and process efficiency
- Present information to management
