The St. Louis Eye Surgery and Laser Center, one of the clinics under the EyeCare Partners umbrella, is currently seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist (Patient Coordinator) to join their team in Des Peres, MO. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive base pay along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with employer matching, paid time off, paid holidays, paid maternity leave, eyecare certification reimbursement, and employee discounts. The role requires availability Monday through Friday between 5:30 am and 6:00 pm, with the flexibility to work slightly earlier or later hours when necessary to meet practice needs.

As a Medical Receptionist (Patient Coordinator), the successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for patients, setting a positive tone for their visit through exemplary customer service and efficient handling of administrative tasks. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating patient flow within the office by verifying medical and vision insurance, managing inquiries via phone, email, or in-person requests, and ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to the eye care industry’s unique demands.

This role demands a commitment to providing exceptional service during every interaction, accurately collecting payments for services rendered, handling daily financial reconciliation tasks, and maintaining an organized, clean workspace. The Medical Receptionist will also be expected to display teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-focused approach that fosters a positive work environment. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, favorable background check results, and at least one year of related experience or equivalent training.
