The role of Medical Receptionist at CenterWell Senior Primary Care BVL office involves being the welcoming face and first point of contact for patients and visitors. This position requires someone who is dedicated, compassionate, and possesses experience in medical reception within a fast-paced environment. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for managing multi-line phone systems, accurately taking and distributing messages, greeting visitors, managing visitor passes and logs, and guiding visitors to the appropriate offices or departments. This role also entails responding to routine inquiries, handling administrative tasks such as booking meeting rooms, organizing mail, and managing package courier services. While the work is defined by specific standards and guidelines, the Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth office operations and providing exceptional service to patients and staff alike.
This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $38,000 to $45,800, with eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on company and individual performance. Working hours are scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role may also require local travel, with mileage reimbursement provided. An important part of this patient-facing role is participation in Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program to ensure the safety and well-being of both employees and patients.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional experience in a front-office medical receptionist role, working directly with patients. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential, as effective communication with diverse patient populations is critical to the role. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer skills are required, along with strong teamwork and communication abilities. This position also offers opportunities for cross-training in other roles based on business needs, encouraging ongoing learning and professional growth.

Job Requirements
- Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
- minimum of 1-year professional experience as a medical receptionist in 'front-office' direct patient care contact
- bilingual (English/Spanish)
- experience with MS Outlook
- basic computer knowledge
- must be a team player with excellent communication skills
- willingness to learn and be cross trained in other roles based on business need
