Job Description

Women's Care is a well-established healthcare provider founded in 1988, recognized as Lane County's oldest independent physician group specializing exclusively in women's health. With six convenient clinic locations throughout Lane County, Women's Care is committed to delivering exceptional health services with a focus on compassion, respect, and professionalism. They serve a diverse patient population ranging from adolescence through menopause and are known as strong advocates for women's health in the community. The organization prides itself on maintaining the highest standards in healthcare delivery and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for both patients and employees.

This full-time opportunity is based on-site at the Chase Gardens location in Eugene, Oregon. The role of Medical Receptionist is key to the smooth daily operations of the clinic and plays a pivotal role in shaping the patient experience from the moment patients walk through the door. The position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and understands that every patient interaction matters. The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, helping to create a warm, professional, and supportive atmosphere.

As a Medical Receptionist at Women's Care, you will be responsible for greeting and checking in patients with professionalism and friendliness, verifying and updating patient information in electronic systems, and facilitating patient enrollment in the patient portal. You will manage multi-channel communications including incoming calls, emails, and faxes, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate departments efficiently. Scheduling and rescheduling appointments correctly and handling appointment cancellations are important components of the role. Additionally, you will be tasked with collecting co-pays and balancing the cash drawer, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, and addressing patient questions or concerns promptly and with empathy, escalating issues when necessary.

Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and front desk environment also falls under your responsibilities, ensuring a pleasant and orderly setting for patients and visitors. This role demands excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to remain composed under pressure. You will need to demonstrate a high level of personal accountability, adaptability, and teamwork, contributing positively to both staff morale and patient satisfaction.

The position offers competitive pay ranging from $18.86 to $22.72 per hour and comes with a robust benefits package, reflecting Women's Care's investment in its employees' well-being. This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, allowing you to be an integral part of a supportive and dedicated healthcare team that values inclusiveness, quality, and patient-centered care.
