Job Description

Rendr is the leading primary care focused, multi-specialty medical group dedicated to serving the Asian community in New York City. Established with the mission to deliver world-class, value-based healthcare, Rendr operates more than 100 clinical offices located throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and Nassau County. The organization prides itself on blending clinical excellence with compassionate care, ensuring that every patient receives personalized attention and treatment tailored to their specific health needs. Rendr’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected not only in the communities they serve but also within their workforce, creating an environment where employees feel valued and empowered to make a meaningful impact. The group offers a collaborative work culture that embraces innovation, professional growth, and ongoing development opportunities for all staff members.

The position of Medical Receptionist at Rendr plays a crucial role as the front line of the healthcare experience. Medical receptionists are responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for patients, vendors, and visitors. They are the first point of contact for anyone entering the practice and set the tone for the patient’s entire visit. This role requires a high level of customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The medical receptionist handles scheduling of new and follow-up appointments, processing insurance information, accurately collecting copays, and assisting patients with paperwork completion. Additionally, they verify and update patient information in electronic medical records (EMR), coordinate lab and imaging reports, and address insurance-related questions by escalating them to the billing team when necessary.

The Medical Receptionist must also exhibit compassion and professionalism in sensitive situations, such as responding promptly to patients in distress and maintaining confidentiality of patient data. Adaptability and flexibility are vital since this position may require working across various clinical offices. Rendr values accountability and dedication to patient satisfaction and safety as core qualities for this role. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Chinese to effectively communicate with the diverse patient base served by the organization. Rendr offers competitive salaries that are commensurate with experience and years of service, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, commuter benefits, and flexible spending accounts. This role presents a unique opportunity to join a respected, community-centered healthcare leader committed to outstanding patient care and employee growth.
