The foundation collaborates closely with physicians and healthcare providers to offer comprehensive medical care designed to meet the needs of diverse communities. Committed to advancing medical care, Dignity Health Medical Foundation continually invests in the latest technology, state-of-the-art medical facilities, and the finest physicians to ensure outstanding patient outcomes. Emphasizing a culture of humankindness, the organization strives to create meaningful work environments where its staff can thrive while delivering excellent care. Staff members benefit from stimulating work assignments, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative atmosphere that fosters personal and career development.
As a Medical Office Representative within Dignity Health Medical Foundation clinics, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, and visitors, embodying the organization’s commitment to exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities include warmly greeting patients, managing incoming calls, and effectively communicating messages within the clinic. On a daily basis, you will collect and update patient demographics and insurance information, verify health plan eligibility, schedule appointments using an electronic practice management system, and perform various clerical functions to support smooth clinic operations and quality patient care initiatives. The role requires enthusiasm, efficiency, and empathy to ensure a positive experience for every patient interaction.
Excellence in customer service is crucial to this role. You will consistently demonstrate professional and caring behaviors, such as making eye contact, using scripted greetings and closings, and actively listening with a positive can-do attitude. Your ability to handle a multi-line phone system, maintain accurate records, and support the clinic’s operational goals will be integral to the success of the medical office team. This position offers a pay range of $25.00 to $28.18 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in maintaining the foundation’s high standards of patient care and service. Joining Dignity Health Medical Foundation means becoming part of a respected and expanding healthcare organization that values its employees and the communities it serves. You will contribute to a robust healthcare delivery system that prioritizes patient well-being and fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace.
