Staffed by board-certified physicians and a highly trained clinical team, the hospital’s integrated outpatient services and telehealth capabilities ensure patients have seamless access to continuous care.

The organization holds numerous respected national accreditations and has earned multiple awards for patient safety, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient experience. Recognized for its clinical excellence, innovative practices, and compassionate service, it is committed to advancing healthcare through disciplined fiscal management and sustained growth. Nestled in central Connecticut, the hospital operates within a vibrant New England community that offers affordable housing, quality schools, and abundant outdoor recreation throughout the four seasons. The surrounding area boasts tree-lined neighborhoods, parks, lakes, and a revitalized downtown with local eateries, breweries, shopping, and festivals, making it an attractive location for professionals and families alike.

The Medical Group Finance Manager will play a crucial leadership role within this esteemed healthcare network, overseeing comprehensive finance operations for a multi-specialty physician group. This full-time position demands expertise in managing revenue cycle performance, including charge capture, coding accuracy, denials prevention, accounts receivable days, and cash flow optimization. The manager will also be responsible for financial planning and analysis activities such as annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, service line profitability assessments, and capital planning to ensure the organization’s financial health.

In this role, daily responsibilities include reviewing key performance indicator dashboards, analyzing payer mix and reimbursement trends, and overseeing workflows related to Explanation of Benefits and Electronic Data Interchange. The manager will approve expenses, model provider productivity and compensation using wRVU analytics, and prepare detailed practice-level profit and loss reports. Collaborating closely with clinic administrators, the manager will focus on staffing strategies, cost containment initiatives, and continuous process improvements, including automation projects that enhance the use of electronic health record and enterprise resource planning systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, and Workday.

Supervisory duties encompass managing a team of financial analysts and accountants while maintaining internal control standards and audit readiness. The finance manager will also spearhead contract and fee schedule analysis, ensure revenue integrity, oversee cash posting, develop ad hoc pro forma financial models, and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, billing, and compliance departments. The overarching goal is to boost patient access, strengthen financial sustainability, and support strategic growth initiatives.

The healthcare system is committed to disciplined fiscal stewardship by balancing operating margin improvements with cash flow stabilization and liquidity preservation. Key strategies include rigorous revenue cycle management, optimization of payer mix, and targeted service line expansion in high-demand outpatient and surgical areas. Cost containment efforts focus on supply chain efficiencies, labor productivity enhancement, and technology-driven automation. Prudent capital planning and debt management are aligned with technology upgrades and facility modernization projects, emphasizing important financial metrics such as days cash on hand and debt service coverage.

Through transparent KPI reporting, benchmarking, and variance analysis, the Medical Group Finance Manager will provide actionable insights to support timely decision-making that enhances community access, quality outcomes, and long-term financial viability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a respected healthcare organization that values innovation, accountability, and compassionate care while providing a competitive compensation package with industry-leading benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
