Job Description
Luminary Hotel & Co. is an independent, franchise-operated hotel located in the heart of downtown Fort Myers, Florida. As part of the esteemed Autograph Collection under Marriott International, the hotel is owned and operated by Mainsail Lodging, a separate entity responsible for all employment practices. Known for its AAA Four Diamond rating, the hotel boasts exceptional service, stunning waterfront views, and a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates the rich history and culture of the Fort Myers area. The property offers a diverse range of dining outlets and immersive experiences, making it a favored destination for both travelers and locals. The addition of Caloosa Sound Amphitheater has further established Luminary Hotel & Co. as a premier entertainment hub, hosting concerts, live performances, and community events that attract visitors from near and far.
The Marketing Manager position at Luminary Hotel & Co. is a full-time, exempt, management role reporting directly to the Director of Sales. This role is pivotal in driving the property’s marketing and event strategies, focusing on content creation and on-site marketing support. The manager will lead the creation of captivating organic content, including video productions, photography, and compelling written copy that enhances the hotel’s and amphitheater’s social media presence, email campaigns, and broader marketing initiatives. A critical responsibility is managing the concert marketing lifecycle for Caloosa Sound Amphitheater, ensuring seamless coordination from event conception to live event coverage and follow-up.
The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the corporate marketing team based in Tampa, third-party marketing partners, and various on-property departments such as Sales, Events, and Food & Beverage. This collaboration ensures alignment with Marriott Autograph Collection standards, brand consistency, and the delivery of an engaging guest experience. The ideal candidate embodies creativity and strategic thinking, skillfully blending storytelling with data-driven marketing insights to maximize revenue through room bookings, dining, and event sales.
Candidates for this role should be proficient with contemporary digital marketing tools and platforms, including Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Canva, combined with a deep understanding of social media trends and analytics. Exceptional communication skills and a passion for hospitality are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail. The position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth within Mainsail Lodging & Development, complemented by competitive compensation commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package.
