Job Description
Maple Hospitality Group is a leading hospitality company renowned for its dedication to culinary excellence and unparalleled service. Founded and led by celebrated restaurateur Jim Lasky and acclaimed two-Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant, the group is known for its innovative approach to fine dining and creating iconic culinary destinations. With locations across major cities including Chicago, Scottsdale, Dallas, Miami, Santa Barbara, Boston, and New York, Maple Hospitality Group is rapidly expanding and offers employees a dynamic environment with endless opportunities for professional growth, travel, and continued education. The company culture is anchored in four core principles: generosity, excellence, fun, and a fail-fast mentality that encourages learning and continuous improvement. This philosophy fosters a workplace where passion for food and hospitality merges with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The culinary leadership role within Maple Hospitality Group is designed for a polished, professional, and energetic leader who understands the crucial role that marketing plays in shaping the brand story and recognizes the power of events in driving revenue and customer connection. This position demands an individual who brings established community relationships and can actively pursue and activate these connections through proactive outbound sales and networking. Success in this role relies on strong communication skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and systems-driven environment, and a demonstrated commitment to enhancing the guest experience through both marketing and meticulous event execution.
Responsibilities of this role include shaping innovative yet cost-effective menus that reflect the evolving Maple & Ash brand, launching new programs and openings with precise operational execution, and driving research and development initiatives that enhance guest satisfaction and profitability. The leader in this position champions innovation aligned with financial and operational goals, ensures adherence to corporate and location-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs), and collaborates closely with purchasing teams to optimize inventory and sourcing while protecting margins. Close partnership with the Culinary Director and Chef Partner Danny Grant is essential to ensure consistency in culinary vision across all markets. The role also involves enforcing high sanitation and food safety standards, developing seasonal features and limited-time offers (LTOs), and playing a strategic role in pre-opening kitchen design and readiness. Additionally, this leader mentors executive chefs throughout the group, fostering a strong leadership bench and cultivating operational excellence to scale with the business. Strong vendor relationships are nurtured to source exceptional local and global ingredients, reinforcing Maple Hospitality Group's reputation for quality and distinction.
Overall, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of culinary innovation and hospitality excellence within a renowned and rapidly growing hospitality group. The ideal candidate is not only a skilled culinary manager with strong financial acumen and leadership capabilities but also a dynamic communicator and proactive business developer who thrives in a demanding, high-energy environment. This is a chance to contribute to and grow with an organization that values generosity, excellence, and fun while maintaining uncompromising standards of quality and service.
