The company prides itself on operational excellence, leveraging advanced technology and committed teams to deliver high quality, safe, and efficient logistics solutions. As an industry pioneer, Americold's approach emphasizes safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction worldwide.

The role of Health and Safety Manager at Americold Logistics is a senior leadership position integral to maintaining and advancing the company’s commitment to a safe working environment. This role is responsible for strategically directing and reinforcing the importance of health and safety across all Americold facilities. You will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive Health and Safety programs. The Health and Safety Manager will work closely with site management teams and directors to embed health and safety principles into daily operations, promoting a culture of safety excellence that extends throughout the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker who can provide direction on health and safety priorities, track performance metrics, and lead initiatives aimed at reducing workplace injuries and lost time. The role involves engaging in collaborative cross-functional interactions to identify strategic opportunities that enhance safety performance and drive competitive advantages.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will participate in regional executive meetings to present health and safety performance data, discuss upcoming initiatives, and proactively resolve potential safety issues. Leading by example, you will champion behavioral-based safety training, foster ongoing compliance audits, and hold managerial staff accountable for the safety outcomes of their teams. This position also involves significant regulatory interface work, representing Americold in health and safety matters with external parties and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to all legal and regulatory concerns.

The role is dynamic and demands frequent travel to multiple sites, exposure to varying working conditions including cold environments, and the physical ability to perform duties that involve occasional lifting, prolonged sitting, and the use of electronic tools. Your leadership will be critical in shaping the health and safety culture that safeguards the well-being of Americold associates and supports the sustained success of the business. Americold Logistics offers a collaborative and inclusive work environment committed to equal opportunity employment and professional growth.
