Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in production or manufacturing management preferably in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Proven track record of leading cross functional teams to meet production targets, improve efficiency and maintain quality standards
  • Experience in developing and implementing production schedules, managing workflow and optimizing resource allocation
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or other methods
  • Familiarity with compliance standards including OSHA and Quality Management systems (IATF, ISO)
  • Automotive Tier 1 experiences highly desired
  • History of mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and performance
  • Experience working in a union plant required

Job Duties

  • Manages all resources promoting teamwork, respect, accountability, and improvement of safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives
  • Ensures all EHS standards, processes and procedures are followed and works with EHS Site Lead to improve programs
  • Ensures all Quality standards and processes are met and works with Quality and Engineering to enhance quality objectives
  • Aligns production goals with organizational objectives
  • Demonstrates ability to manage changing priorities and guide team confidently
  • Plans and establishes production and manufacturing priorities
  • Monitors production data and advises on schedules due to equipment or operational issues
  • Ensures on-time delivery to all customers
  • Coordinates production activities with supporting departments
  • Develops strategies to correct operational problems and improve throughput
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff
  • Oversees daily workflow and collaborates with manufacturing managers
  • Establishes schedules and ensures timeline adherence
  • Monitors manpower and training plans
  • Promotes continuous improvement culture
  • Ensures compliance with factory rules, regulations, and union agreements
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
  • Develops and mentors teams to achieve results
