With decades of experience and a passion for advocacy, The Arc Ontario continues to provide valuable resources, support, and connections that enable personal growth and community engagement. Their inclusive culture emphasizes investing in staff and fostering a flexible and fun work environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and professional development. Located in Canandaigua, the organization offers meaningful employment opportunities that combine purpose with growth potential.

The role of Manager of Special Events and Outreach at The Arc Ontario is both dynamic and impactful. This position is perfect for a motivated professional who thrives on creativity, organizational skills, and building strong community relationships. As this manager, you will lead the planning and execution of an array of special events that serve as critical fundraising activities and avenues for community involvement. These include popular annual events such as the Spring Wine Mixer, Cruisin' for a Cause, Turkey Trot, and the Holiday Gift Wrap Booth, in addition to new innovative event experiences crafted with input from the Director and the Foundation Events Committee. The role entails managing every aspect of these events from vendor coordination and venue management to budget oversight and volunteer recruitment and leadership.

The Manager of Special Events and Outreach will also take a proactive role in expanding the organization’s reach by building lasting partnerships with local businesses and community groups. This includes representing The Arc Ontario at various outreach events and contributing meaningfully to advocacy efforts that align with the agency’s mission. This position requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, making it an excellent career opportunity for professionals who excel in fast-paced, varied environments and want to see tangible results from their efforts.

With a scheduled workweek from Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, this position offers a competitive salary of $23.11 to $24.62 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The Arc Ontario is dedicated to your professional growth and personal well-being, providing health and retirement benefits, paid time off, sick leave, educational assistance, an employee assistance program, access to an onsite fitness center, pay on demand, telehealth services, and emergency assistance funding. If you're passionate about events, community outreach, and creating positive societal impact within a supportive team atmosphere, The Arc Ontario invites you to join their vibrant team and make a lasting difference.
