Job Description

Drury Hotels is a renowned, family-owned hospitality company with a rich legacy of delivering exceptional guest experiences across the United States. With over 150 properties spanning 30 states, Drury Hotels stands out as a leader in the hotel industry, consistently recognized for quality, innovative service, and a supportive workplace culture. The company prides itself on its commitment to employees, believing that every team member’s contributions are vital to the overall success and guest satisfaction. Drury Hotels has been recognized among Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces 2025, a testament to its dedication to fostering a positive work environment and investing in employee growth and well-being.

The Manager in Training (MIT) program at Drury Hotels offers a unique and intensive 14-week experience designed specifically for recent college graduates eager to launch their careers in hospitality management. This program is more than just a job; it is a career-defining opportunity to develop comprehensive skills across all facets of hotel operations. Participants gain hands-on experience at high-performing hotel locations, working directly under the guidance of the General Manager and a dedicated mentor. The MIT program includes rotations through various departments such as housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, and administration, providing a holistic understanding of what it takes to successfully manage a hotel.

Throughout the program, trainees progressively take on management responsibilities, including serving as Manager on Duty, which builds leadership capabilities and prepares them for supervisory or management roles tailored to their individual strengths. Drury Hotels supports its MIT participants with a well-structured developmental plan that includes mentorship, cross-training, and leadership training.

In addition to the professional growth opportunities, Drury Hotels emphasizes work-life balance and employee well-being. The company offers flexible scheduling, paid time off, discounts, and free room nights to travel and relax. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, prescription drug plans, life insurance, disability coverage, and access to the Team Member Assistance Program. Furthermore, employees enjoy a company-matched 401(k) plan to help secure their financial futures.

The Drury Hotels MIT program is ideal for energetic, personable individuals who are passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Candidates are typically recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field, with prior work experience preferably in hotel or restaurant settings. Leadership experience gained through work or academic environments is highly valued, as is the ability to relocate fully after program completion. This program is a launching pad for those who aspire to grow quickly within the hospitality management field while working for a company that truly values its people.

In summary, Drury Hotels offers a dynamic, supportive setting for aspiring hospitality managers through its comprehensive Manager in Training program. With a strong focus on mentorship, hands-on learning, and career progression, participants are equipped to step confidently into supervisory or management roles within a leading hotel company. By joining Drury Hotels, individuals not only start a career but also become part of a company that recognizes the importance of belonging, contribution, and continuous growth in personal and professional dimensions.
