Job Description
VyStar Ballpark is a premier sports and entertainment venue located in Jacksonville, Florida, serving as the home of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, a proud member of Minor League Baseball. Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, sports management, culinary management or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in food and beverage operations or premium hospitality
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with premium hospitality in sports or entertainment venues
- Strong leadership, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent guest service and communication abilities
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management
- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including extended hours during events
- Preferred experience in sports or live entertainment venues
- Familiarity with event or catering management software
- Knowledge of food and beverage cost control and budgeting
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, event-driven environments
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift moderately heavy items, and navigate the venue effectively
Job Duties
- Lead food and beverage operations for premium hospitality areas including suites, clubs, picnic spaces, and lounges
- Oversee setup, presentation, replenishment, and breakdown of food and beverage service zones
- Coordinate premium food and beverage logistics for games, concerts, and special events
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise food and beverage staff including suite attendants, bartenders, and servers
- Develop staffing plans aligned with event attendance and needs
- Conduct pre-event staff meetings to review menus, service standards, and event details
- Monitor service delivery during events to ensure quality and guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with F&B leadership on catering menus and event offerings
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and product reconciliation
- Support event reporting including sales, inventory, and labor analysis
- Build strong relationships with suite holders, partners, and clients
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and provide service recovery
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol policies, and health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of hospitality spaces
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure smooth event execution and operational efficiency
