The Manager, Facilities role at San Manuel Resort and Casino is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations and critical systems support to ensure the seamless functioning of the casino and hotel environment. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Facilities, this role involves managing various maintenance trades and specialized teams including HVAC, electrical, and building maintenance among others. The Manager is tasked with coordinating projects, assigning and scheduling work, monitoring system alarms related to fire safety, power, and central plant operations, and actively participating in emergency preparedness planning.
In this capacity, the Manager provides strong leadership by guiding both management and support team members to achieve department goals aligned with the organization’s standards. They perform regular performance evaluations, oversee hiring processes, manage vendor relationships, and maintain financial oversight of the maintenance divisions’ budget to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising service quality. The role also demands a commitment to enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant departmental and enterprise policies.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum three years experience in Facilities maintenance management and operations
- Minimum three years supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Availability for 24/7 on-call duties
- Ability to operate forklift and aerial lift
- Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-demand environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Minimum three years of experience in Facilities maintenance management and operations
- Minimum three years of supervisory experience
- Related, relevant, or direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing alarm, and fire systems
- Knowledge of safe work practices and safety regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Word Perfect, and Excel
- Ability to read and explain blueprints and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise team members and conduct performance reviews
- Ability to operate a forklift and aerial lift
- Ability to follow safety guidelines when using chemicals, equipment, tools, and techniques
Job Duties
- Leads and manages all maintenance fields and trades within the Facilities Department including HVAC, electrical, and building maintenance
- Plans and coordinates projects assigned to the team including assigning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring tasks
- Monitors and responds to critical systems alarms and alerts such as fire, power, and central plant failures
- Participates actively in Emergency Action Plan, Building Continuity Plan, and emergency drills
- Conducts performance evaluations and oversees hiring processes for team members
- Processes vendor requests by providing scope of work, expectations, and timelines for project completion
- Reviews, amends, and creates policies and procedures ensuring team compliance
- Manages financial health of maintenance and critical systems divisions including budget forecasting, tracking, and reviewing transactions
- Provides leadership, guidance, counseling, and evaluations to subordinate staff
- Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient department operations
