The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a critical management position focused on developing and implementing effective dining solutions tailored to customer needs and preferences. This position oversees and manages dining operations where customers select prepared foods from a menu, ensuring a seamless and satisfying dining experience. The Food Service Manager leads the front-of-the-house dining operations, often working in conjunction with the Food Service Director to coordinate activities in cafeterias or residential dining facilities.

Key responsibilities include driving team engagement through coaching and recognition, managing performance to meet client expectations, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The manager plays an essential role in maintaining strong client relationships by identifying customer needs and communicating operational progress clearly. Financial oversight is a significant aspect of the role, including managing profit and loss statements, achieving client and company financial targets, and utilizing Aramark's systems to optimize ordering, inventory, and margin performance. Additionally, the Food Service Manager is responsible for enhancing productivity through efficient operation management, cost control, and profit optimization while ensuring the entire team is trained and capable of maintaining operational excellence.

Compliance with all health, safety, wage, and hour regulations is mandatory to provide a safe environment for clients, customers, and employees.   • educate teams on key levers to improve margins
  • Bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
  • Follow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining food and labor initiatives
  • Ensure entire team is trained and able to implement
  • Supervise team regarding production, quality and control
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
  • Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, wage and hour
  • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation (Cafeteria/ Residential Dining Facility) in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities in order to deliver a finished product to the customer
