The role of Manager, Continuous Improvement reports directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and plays a critical role in steering process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across casino operations. This position is central to nurturing a culture of sustainable change within the organization by applying Lean methodologies and championing excellence in Continuous Improvement and Innovation (CI&I). The Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing continuous improvement programs that align with strategic business goals, thereby delivering transformative outcomes for the casino’s operational and financial functions. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of gaming and hospitality operations to effectively partner with executive leaders and department managers, ensuring that improvements meet operational needs and promote employee engagement.
Key responsibilities include developing and administering the Continuous Improvement Program, leveraging Six Sigma and Lean processes to identify enhancement opportunities that improve financial performance, customer satisfaction, and service delivery. This entails diagnosing organizational performance issues, performing root cause analyses, and developing strategies to optimize processes. The Manager will coordinate and lead enterprise-wide projects, supervising teams and collaborating with managers to re-engineer processes for maximum efficiency. Project management expertise is vital, as this role oversees implementation efforts while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies.
In addition to technical skills, the Manager is entrusted with fostering positive relationships between team members and leadership, emphasizing the value of employee contributions and driving engagement. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
- minimum three years experience in continuous improvement and project management
- minimum three years experience in a management role
- accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- willingness to travel
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- experience demonstrating discretion and confidentiality
- physical ability to perform job duties as described
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
- minimum three years experience in continuous improvement and project management
- strong understanding of relevant tools and methodologies
- minimum three years experience in a management role
- casino operations or hospitality industry experience preferred
- relevant or direct experience may substitute for education requirement
- experience facilitating Kaizen Events preferred
- advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Lean tools
- accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- ability to demonstrate discretion and confidentiality handling sensitive information
Job Duties
- Develops, administers and executes the Continuous Improvement Program in alignment with casino goals and objectives
- serves as an internal consultant developing short-term and long-term strategies incorporating Lean practices
- utilizes knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean processes to define opportunities and design innovative solutions
- assesses organizational performance and determines root causes of issues
- monitors existing processes ensuring optimal efficiency and establishes measurable standards
- works with senior leadership and teams to develop and implement process improvement plans
- coordinates and leads key projects across all enterprise levels
- supervises teams and collaborates with managers to re-engineer processes
- utilizes project management best practices to oversee project implementations
- performs additional duties to support department operations
