Job Requirements
- Associates degree in hotel/hospitality or related field
- minimum 1 year in event/conference planning or related hospitality experience
- demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
- professional communication skills both verbal and written
- able to lift up to 20lbs
- able to bend, stretch, and twist
- able to stand or sit for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Create and manage groups in the OPERA S&C system
- assist with 30-60-90 day catering forecasts prepared weekly
- complete Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and resumes for clients and operations departments
- conduct weekly BEO meetings to discuss events and maximize budgets and sales goals
- provide detailed information on group needs from arrival through departure
- act as liaison between lodge and groups ensuring meeting spaces are appropriately set up and client requests are handled
- create group resumes detailing purpose, room/suite types, blocks, rates, VIPs, agendas, AV, accounting, and special instructions
- attain pre-set monthly revenue goals for upselling banquets
- meet clients upon arrival and introduce them to key hotel staff
- communicate last minute changes of group functions to hotel staff ensuring satisfactory follow through
- plan and conduct pre-convention meetings as requested
- represent the lodge in resolving complaints from groups and attendees including billing and reservations
