The Culinary Manager, Regional Support role for Sodexo Senior Living in the Mid-Atlantic region is a high-impact, travel-intensive position designed for a seasoned culinary leader. This temporary role, lasting up to 18 months, offers a unique opportunity for professionals passionate about elevating dining experiences within senior living facilities. The preferred home base locations include Central Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware, with travel extending primarily along the East Coast through states such as PA, NY, MA, and NJ, constituting approximately 90% travel. The schedule varies based on business needs, combining 10 days on and 4 days off for overnight travel with 5 days on and 2 days off for local travel. Job Requirements
- Minimum education requirement - bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- minimum management experience - 3 years
- minimum functional experience - 3 years work experience in facilities such as maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation or food such as food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending or HTM
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in a hands-on culinary leadership role such as Executive Chef or Chef Manager
- demonstrated success managing retail, fine dining, and à la carte dining environments
- strong ability to operate effectively in both front-of-house and back-of-house environments
- excellent interpersonal communication skills with a client-focused mindset
- ability to adapt quickly and perform in high-visibility, fast-paced environments
- bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- minimum of 3 years management experience
