Located at 1055 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, Florida, AdventHealth serves as a community-focused hospital that values the wholeness of every person, uplifting individuals in body, mind, and spirit. The organization is known for its compassionate care and purpose-driven team environment, emphasizing that together, everyone is better. AdventHealth aims to provide an inclusive workplace where each team member is appreciated for their unique experiences and contributions to the shared mission of compassionate healing. This specific role is a PRN (as needed) position within this esteemed healthcare setting. PRN scheduling means that hours may fluctuate between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on patient and departmental needs. The position involves day shifts and is ideal for candidates seeking flexible employment opportunities with a reputable healthcare provider. The pay range for this role spans from $26.08 to $48.50 per hour, reflecting a competitive salary structure aligned with industry standards and the specialized nature of the work.
The role focuses on mammography and diagnostic radiological services within the breast center, where the successful candidate will perform high-quality mammography exams, including both 2D and 3D techniques in compliance with federal and professional standards. Key responsibilities include patient scheduling, tracking, and follow-up processes such as recall management and biopsy coordination. The Mammographer will also support breast center initiatives including accreditation preparation, community screening events, and quality improvement programs. Candidates must adhere strictly to department protocols regarding patient identification, informed consent, and safety time-out procedures to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Documentation responsibilities include accurate and timely input in electronic medical records (EMR) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). The role requires maintaining cleanliness, equipment readiness, quality control compliance, and timely communication with radiologists and team members. The ideal individual will possess strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues, explain procedures clearly, and provide compassionate care. Knowledge of mammography equipment and compliance with regulations including MQSA, FDA, and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines is essential. The position also demands proficiency in positioning patients appropriately, adjusting imaging parameters for optimal diagnostic results, and maintaining safety for both patients and staff through radiation safety best practices. This PRN role is critical to supporting the breast center’s capacity to provide timely, accurate, and compassionate mammography services within a faith-based healthcare environment dedicated to excellence and community outreach.
