The role of Maintenance Technician II at Fairfield's Inwood Station community involves ensuring the operational efficiency and maintenance excellence of a 347-unit residential property. This position is critical in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the property through daily maintenance tasks and timely repairs. Duties include diagnosing and addressing issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, and appliances as well as preparing vacant apartments for incoming residents by thoroughly following the Make Ready Checklist. Maintenance Technicians II also contribute by performing property inspections, monitoring common area systems, and maintaining exterior spaces including pool areas. The role requires participation in an emergency on-call rotation, ensuring resident safety and prompt responses to urgent maintenance needs. Effective communication with vendors, contractors, and internal teams is essential to report inventory needs and potential liabilities while adhering to Fairfield’s safety policies and procedures. This position offers an hourly wage range of $23.25 to $26.00 and is categorized as non-exempt, reflecting base pay dependent on skills, experience, and job location. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • valid driver’s license may be required
  • minimum one year of previous experience in property management maintenance or related trade required
  • ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • general computer skills including operating a mobile device
  • strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • superior customer service skills including managing difficult customers and situations
  • working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • professional verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Perform daily maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances
