Led by next-generation leaders Jonathan and Jason Morgan, the firm has a strong reputation for swift decision-making, robust capital relationships, and operational excellence. Morgan Properties prides itself on maintaining a collaborative and dynamic workplace environment with over 2,600 dedicated employees focused on providing high-quality residential communities and exceptional living experiences for their residents.
The Maintenance Technician role at Morgan Properties is a critical position based at a 206-unit apartment community in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to apply their expertise in electrical and plumbing repairs while contributing positively to the overall quality of life within the community. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of maintenance requests that span multiple disciplines including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and other general building systems. The role demands an individual who not only values high-quality workmanship but also enjoys addressing and solving problems in a fast-paced residential environment.
In this role, the Maintenance Technician will be expected to demonstrate excellent customer service skills by communicating professionally with residents, vendors, and team members. They will assist with apartment turns, make-ready projects, and preventive maintenance tasks that help maintain the community's appearance, safety, and overall condition. Additionally, this role includes participation in an on-call rotation to respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and readiness.
Morgan Properties offers competitive compensation for this position, including a $1,000 sign-on bonus, base pay ranging from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, and up to a 50% rent discount. Additional financial incentives include property staff shared renewal commissions, quarterly bonuses, and on-call appreciation pay. The benefits package is comprehensive, encompassing medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and generous paid time off including 10 holidays and sick leave. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with paid rotating on-call participation approximately every four weeks. The company fosters a culture that values accountability, teamwork, and a customer-first mindset, ensuring that every team member's contributions help maintain a positive and thriving community environment.
Prospective candidates should possess at least two years of maintenance experience with proven skills in electrical and plumbing repairs. Basic HVAC knowledge and EPA certification are considered a plus. Candidates must have strong communication abilities, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to continually learn and grow within the company. An active driver’s license and personal vehicle are required, along with proximity to the community to effectively support on-call responsibilities and emergency responses. Morgan Properties is committed to matching the right candidates with opportunities that reflect their skills, education, and geographic location, ensuring a fair and competitive overall compensation package.
