Job Description

Uline is a family-owned company recognized as North America’s leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials. With a workforce exceeding 10,000 employees spread over 15 locations, Uline has established a strong presence in its industry by maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality, customer service, and employee satisfaction. The company prides itself on its stable and growth-oriented workplace culture, making it an ideal employer for individuals seeking long-term career opportunities. As a drug-free workplace, Uline requires all new hires to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening, ensuring a safe and productive work environment for all team members. The company supports diversity and inclusion as an EEO/AA employer and is dedicated to providing equal opportunities for veterans and individuals with disabilities.

At Uline’s corporate headquarters located in Pleasant Prairie, WI, the Maintenance Technician role serves as a vital part of the facilities management team. This full-time, on-site position operates Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, offering a consistent schedule. The Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to maintain and enhance the physical workplace environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and comfort for all employees and visitors. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, problem-solving individual with strong troubleshooting skills who takes pride in maintaining high standards of facility operations.

The Maintenance Technician will perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including electrical lighting upkeep such as tube, bulb, and ballast replacement. Responsibilities also extend to plumbing systems, where maintaining and repairing restroom facilities is essential. This technician serves as the company's first responder to equipment issues and is integral to minimizing downtime by swiftly diagnosing and resolving maintenance problems.

In addition to technical duties, the Maintenance Technician will coordinate with outside contractors and building inspectors, guiding them during visits and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. This interaction requires effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Uline offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package reflecting its dedication to employee welfare. Employees receive complete health insurance coverage starting day one, a 401(k) plan featuring a 6% employer match, and multiple bonus programs that reward performance and dedication. Paid holidays and generous paid time off allow employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The tuition assistance program further supports continuing professional education, enabling technicians to advance their skills and knowledge continuously.

The corporate headquarters campus boasts an on-site café and a first-class fitness center with complimentary personal trainers, encouraging employee health and wellness. Over four miles of scenic, well-maintained walking trails provide a refreshing environment for breaks and relaxation.

This role represents an excellent opportunity to join a company with over four decades of success, where career growth, stability, and employee well-being are prioritized. If you possess a high school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of fire systems and generators, proficient computer skills, and flexibility for after-hours on-call services, joining Uline as a Maintenance Technician could be the next step in your career.
