The Maintenance Technician role at Prologis, specifically located in Dallas, Texas, is a full-time field position focused on supporting the Customer Experience Team (CET) in delivering best-in-class service to customers. Job Requirements
- Two plus years in skilled maintenance work
- Willingness to work in a team and respond immediately to emergencies
- Experience using work order, fire and life safety, alarm and facility management software and building control systems
- Basic proficiency in software use on desktop and mobile devices
- Knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, landscaping, and HVAC systems
- Ability to work outdoors most of the day
- Attend and complete all required training including OSHA
- Capability to walk, drive, bend, twist, lift up to 20 lbs, and climb ladders
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record and ability to travel to multiple properties
- Adherence to company vehicle usage policies
Job Qualifications
- Two or more years in skilled maintenance work
- Experience using work order, fire and life safety, alarm, and facility management software and building control systems
- Basic proficiency in using software systems and applications on desktop and mobile devices
- Knowledge in multiple maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, landscaping, and HVAC
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, contractors, and vendors
- Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to work well in a team setting and respond immediately to emergencies
- Willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency and quality
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in commercial real estate maintenance preferred
Job Duties
- Responsible for general property maintenance including coordinating repairs and property inspections
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers through repair coordination and attendance at walkthroughs and inspections
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend maintenance operations
- Perform proactive property inspections focusing on grounds, safety requirements, cleanliness, landscaping, and general appearance
- Assist in inspecting, monitoring, and documenting vendor work
- Report unusual occurrences or damages to management
- Report safety issues immediately and recommend solutions
- Ensure safe storage and maintenance of all company-issued supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Identify additional opportunities to serve customers by leveraging company value-added products and services
