The Maintenance Worker role is a vital position within our hotel operations. This full-time role requires flexibility including weekend and holiday availability to ensure continuous, high-quality maintenance service. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks to uphold our quality standards. This includes preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and refurbishing furniture and fixtures. The job demands physical endurance as it involves climbing, standing, walking, and lifting items up to approximately 100 pounds. Basic skills in reading, writing, and math are necessary, alongside a minimum of six months' experience using basic hand tools. Job Duties
- Assists with preventive maintenance including completion of the Preventive Maintenance checklist and completes minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard
- Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacement
- Assists in checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment
- Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters
- Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed
- Assists Maintenance Technician or Chief Engineer in any project as directed
- Responds in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction
