The Facility Maintenance/ Shuttle Operator role at SP+ plays a critical part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient parking environment. This position involves performing regular maintenance and cleaning tasks related to the facility and the shuttle buses, ensuring a positive experience for customers and smooth operation of all services. Duties include moving shuttle buses for fueling, cleaning, or maintenance; clearing snow from ramps and designated areas; painting and maintaining the facility's physical appearance; and routinely cleaning all areas using appropriate tools. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards, alongside actively assisting customers and resolving complaints independently or with supervisory support.
Employees in this position are expected to be familiar with various aspects of parking operations and may be called upon to cover other duties including cashier responsibilities as needed. Maintaining a neat, professional appearance through full uniform compliance before and during shifts is also essential. This role demands flexibility, effective communication, sound judgment, and a strong customer service orientation to uphold the company standards and deliver exceptional service.

Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record
- Must obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
- High school diploma or equivalent or combination of experience and education
- Ability to work various shifts including 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekends if required
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain positive customer service attitude and respond to requests
- Ability to adapt to work environment changes and unexpected conditions
- Must exhibit sound judgment and professionalism
- Must be able to perform physical demands including lifting 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to read, write and interpret English
- Must maintain a neat and complete uniform appearance during shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and interpret English
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass DOT medical examination and obtain DOT medical card
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Adaptability to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment
- Ability to exercise sound and accurate judgment
- Professional demeanor and ability to perform under pressure
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting 50 pounds or more
- Experience or combination of education and experience in maintenance or customer service preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean appearance at the facility and shuttle operation by performing all maintenance and cleaning tasks related to the facility and/or shuttle buses
- Move shuttle buses for fueling, cleaning, general maintenance, etc
- Shovel, plow or blow snow from the entrance or exit ramps and designated areas using shovels, snow blowers and other light duty equipment
- Paint any and all areas of the facility as directed to ensure all painted surfaces are properly maintained
- Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed to remove dirt, dust, litter and debris from all areas using brooms, mops, brushes and other hand tools
- Report any observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the facility manager in a timely manner
- Assist customers within the facility or as directed
- Resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor assistance
- Be familiar with all aspects of the operation and cover other duties including cashier responsibilities on an as-needed basis
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and remain in complete uniform during shifts
- Perform other duties as assigned
