The role of Maintenance Landscaper at Associa is a vital position that combines landscaping excellence with custodial responsibilities to maintain and enhance the appearance and functionality of the community grounds and facilities. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $17.50, with potential for increased pay if you hold a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification. The role follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the expectation of working every fourth weekend for 4 hours a day, totaling 40 hours per week.

As a Maintenance Landscaper, you will primarily focus on landscaping tasks, ensuring that the outdoor grounds remain clean, attractive, and well-maintained throughout the year. Your day-to-day responsibilities will extend to various light maintenance and custodial tasks including cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and replenishing restroom supplies, ensuring all facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. The position requires the ability to operate custodial and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, with adherence to all state and local government safety standards. Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements including documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations
  • familiarity with state and local governmental safety requirements
  • understanding of equipment used in custodial trades
  • ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions proficiently
  • strong professional customer service skills
  • effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in time-sensitive situations
  • strong landscaping experience is highly preferred
  • swimming pool and light maintenance experience are both highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Primarily focused on landscaping with additional porter duties and light maintenance tasks
  • keep the grounds clean and attractive
  • monitor the upkeep and maintenance of the landscaping and grounds daily
  • clean assigned areas, including furniture, telephones, fixtures, walls, windows, window sills, blinds, and vents
  • sweep, mop, and vacuum all area floors, restrooms, and break areas
  • clean restroom facilities and replenish supplies
  • perform general cleaning, light floor care, and special event set-ups
  • collect and remove trash and recyclables
  • other duties as assigned
