The role of Maintenance Coordinator at Penske is vital to the smooth operation of its branches, focusing primarily on inventory and administrative management that supports the maintenance functions. This position is designed to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and overall customer satisfaction while contributing to the profitability of the branch. The Maintenance Coordinator manages inventory productivity by ensuring the right levels of parts and supplies are maintained, orders are processed promptly, and parts are organized for easy accessibility. This role involves maintaining a close partnership with Centralized Parts Ordering to ensure on-time, defect-free supplier deliveries and working with various departments such as the warranty team and customer service coordinators to ensure repair scheduling and warranty processes run smoothly.

Additionally, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for performing process analytics in areas such as inventory control, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, and cycle counts. Utilizing systems like ServiceNet and AS400, the incumbent troubleshoots operational dynamics and proposes improvements for problem areas. The role requires excellent vendor management skills to ensure proper payment processes and accountability. Beyond inventory and analytical responsibilities, this position supports financial managers by providing pertinent guidance and data contributing to the branch's financial performance.

This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a competitive pay rate of $21.50 per hour. The candidate must be able to commit to regular attendance and demonstrate flexibility in work assignments, including travel if necessary. Physical demands of the job include occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative approach to work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required, alongside the ability to swiftly adapt and learn continuously in a dynamic environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years customer service and operations experience

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage inventory productivity by maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring timely service support
  • Order parts through Centralized Parts Ordering and ensure supplier deliveries are defect-free and on-time
  • Receive, store, and organize parts while updating inventory systems and conducting cycle counts
  • Manage new and used battery and tire inventory to maintain proper stock levels
  • Coordinate warranty item shipping, returns, and warranty claims in partnership with the warranty department
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Coordinator to schedule repairs as parts become available
  • Support vendor management and ensure accurate processing of payments
  • Perform process analyses on inventory, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, and cycle counts
  • Use systems such as ServiceNet and AS400 to analyze operational data for problem-solving and process improvement
  • Provide guidance to branch financial managers through data and project support
  • Complete projects assigned by Branch and District Financial Managers
