As a franchise-owned establishment, it operates independently from McDonald's USA, although it adheres to the high standards and operational practices that the brand represents worldwide. The restaurant prides itself on creating a welcoming environment for customers and maintaining an outstanding level of cleanliness and maintenance both inside and outside the premises.
The Restaurant Porter/Maintenance Person plays a vital role in supporting the overall restaurant operations by ensuring that both the interior and exterior environments remain clean, inviting, and well-maintained. Working as a member of the maintenance team, this individual will receive the necessary tools and training to excel in their role. The primary maintenance personnel earn a competitive hourly wage of $19.50, reflecting the importance of this position within the restaurant's operational framework.
The role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities aimed at maintaining equipment, cleaning various areas of the restaurant, and supporting logistical tasks such as unloading deliveries and waste management. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in contributing directly to the smooth running of a busy restaurant environment. The maintenance team fosters a friendly work atmosphere with opportunities for personal and professional growth, making it an attractive career choice for people interested in both stability and advancement within the hospitality sector.
Employees in this role will be responsible for everyday maintenance tasks such as filtering oil fryers, maintaining outdoor grounds, cleaning restaurant equipment, windows, and restrooms, unloading the delivery truck, managing trash compaction, changing light bulbs, and cleaning HVAC and exhaust systems. These duties ensure that the restaurant environment meets sanitation, safety, and operational standards, which is essential to delivering an excellent dining experience to guests.
In addition to the practical and varied daily duties, this position offers significant benefits to support employees' well-being and professional development. Workers receive access to a 401(k) plan, competitive wages, and flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs. The restaurant also provides college tuition assistance of up to $2,500 yearly, emphasizing its commitment to employee education and advancement. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available, alongside paid time off, discounted employee meals, and national employee discounts. The employee recognition program and various discounts on essentials, entertainment, and services underline the value the restaurant places on its team members.
