The role of the Restaurant Barista at Magnolia is vital to the overall guest experience. This position focuses on creating a variety of high-quality beverages, including coffee, cocktails, beer, and wine, following Magnolia's standards and recipes to ensure consistent excellence. The Restaurant Barista plays an essential role in guest interaction, greeting customers with enthusiasm, answering inquiries about menu items, and providing exceptional service that aligns with the brand’s values. Maintaining the beverage bar’s inventory, quality, and cleanliness is also a key responsibility, which includes managing fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables. The position involves performing opening and closing duties for the beverage bar and assisting with running drinks and food when necessary, contributing to a smooth and efficient service flow.

In addition to beverage preparation, the Restaurant Barista helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, adhering to sanitation and safety standards. The role requires compliance with responsible alcohol service protocols, including TABC certification, and proactive communication with management regarding any service issues. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 0-1 years of related work experience preferred
  • Food Handler's license and TABC certification required upon hire
  • Must be available to work weekends, nights, special events, and holidays as business needs require

Job Duties

  • Ensure the highest level of guest care in line with Magnolia's brand
  • Greet guests with enthusiasm
  • Create a variety of high-quality beverages and coffees per Magnolia's standards and recipes
  • Answer questions regarding coffee, cocktails, beer, wine and menu items to guests
  • Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality and maintain highest quality
  • Ensure that the beverage bar is fully stocked and all opening and closing duties are completed
  • Prepare and sell menu items by following prescribed recipes and techniques
