Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a part of Delaware North, a renowned global leader in hospitality and food service management, best known for operating high-profile venues and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Specifically, Delaware North Sportservice manages operations at major sports and entertainment arenas, including TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. TD Garden is an iconic venue, home to the NHL’s Boston Bruins and the NBA’s Boston Celtics, hosting over 200 events annually and attracting more than 3.5 million visitors. This vibrant, fast-paced environment allows employees to engage with thousands of guests while contributing to memorable experiences.
Delaware North Sportservice is currently seeking a part-time Culinary Supervisor to join their Luxury Suites team at TD Garden. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for culinary arts and leadership, who thrives in a dynamic setting where exceptional food service is paramount. The Culinary Supervisor role requires both hands-on culinary skills and team management abilities to ensure high-quality food preparation and flawless execution in a luxury suite setting.
The role offers an hourly wage of $25.00, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive compensation. Additionally, employees benefit from Delaware North’s comprehensive benefits package, which supports personal and professional growth through training, flexible scheduling, and employee discounts among others. This position not only provides the chance to work in an exciting, collaborative atmosphere but also encourages career development within a globally recognized hospitality company that values diversity and inclusion.
As the Culinary Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the food preparation team, ensuring that all culinary operations meet premium quality standards and safety protocols. You will maintain the organization and cleanliness of kitchen spaces such as walk-ins and freezers, ensure that all kitchen equipment functions properly, and oversee proper food storage methods including breakdown, rotation, labeling, and dating. This role also involves daily opening, closing, and side work duties, focusing on operational efficiency and food cost control. Working closely with team members and restaurant managers, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest satisfaction through quality food and service.
This position suits individuals who have experience as line cooks, especially those who have held supervisory responsibilities, and who appreciate working under fast-paced conditions. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic math proficiency are essential to successfully calculate recipe proportions and manage food inventory effectively. Physical demands include manual dexterity for food preparation, ability to lift heavy pans weighing up to 50 pounds, and enduring long periods of standing and walking during shifts.
Joining Delaware North Sportservice means becoming part of a family-owned business with over a century of history and a global footprint in hospitality. It offers a unique opportunity to build a rewarding career in a company with a dedication to employee wellness and a culture of teamwork. Whether you seek part-time or full-time employment, Delaware North nurtures your professional goals with pathways to growth and development in exciting sectors like sports and entertainment, national parks, casinos, and retail. Being a part of Delaware North means delivering great experiences at great places, making it a compelling choice for those passionate about hospitality and looking to advance their career in this dynamic industry.
