Perigold is expanding into physical retail with its first stores, offering luxury retail destinations spanning 20,000 to 30,000 square feet. These stores provide a tangible, immersive environment where customers can interact with the highest quality products from Perigold’s extensive catalog, coupled with exceptional customer service and expert design assistance. The company seeks to create an inviting space that reflects its commitment to luxury, sophistication, and a seamless shopping experience.

The role of Guest Host is pivotal to maintaining Perigold’s luxury experience, serving as the store’s first point of contact and welcoming guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine interest. This full-time position, based in West Palm Beach, offers a competitive starting wage of $20 per hour plus quarterly bonuses, with pay rates adjusted according to location, experience, and skills. Reporting to the Assistant Store Manager, Guest Experience, and acting as part of the global Asset Protection team, the Guest Host will uphold the brand’s high standards not only by greeting and orienting guests but also by assisting with store safety and security.

As the Greeter/Store Host, you will create the first impression and ensure every customer feels invited and oriented. The position entails actively engaging guests to understand their needs and directing them seamlessly to designers, product specialists, and sales associates for personalized service. Maintaining a spotlessly organized and welcoming entrance area that reflects the brand’s luxury image is essential. Beyond greeting, this role involves collaborating closely with the sales and design teams to manage guest flow efficiently and assist with general showroom upkeep.

Safety awareness is also a critical responsibility. The Guest Host must monitor activity in and near the entrance area to identify and communicate any risks or safety concerns to leadership, acting quickly and calmly to resolve issues related to store safety for both guests and associates.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic "people-people" with at least one year of customer experience, excellent communication skills, knowledge of Google platforms, and a flexible schedule including availability for mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Physical demands of the role include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Job Requirements

  • One or more years of customer service experience in retail or similar setting
  • Flexible availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google platforms such as email and Google Sheets
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Able to stand, walk, frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year customer experience in retail or customer-facing settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Google systems including email, Google Sheets, and other platforms
  • Energetic and optimistic attitude

  • Strong customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Be the official first impression of the store, warmly greeting and engaging guests
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their visit purpose and provide tailored guidance
  • Seamlessly transition customers to appropriate team members for assistance
  • Maintain a welcoming presence at the host post providing clear and friendly information
  • Ensure entrance and greeting areas are immaculate and organized
  • Communicate regularly with sales and design teams to manage guest flow
  • Assist with general showroom upkeep and organization
  • Maintain awareness of activity near the entrance and front-of-house area
  • Identify and communicate potential safety concerns to leadership
  • Quickly and calmly address immediate safety concerns involving guests or associates
