The position available is a full-time, on-site Luxury Hotel Restaurant Assistant General Manager role based in Minneapolis, MN. This pivotal role supports daily restaurant operations within a luxury hotel environment, ensuring that every guest experiences exceptional service aligned with the brand's high standards. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensuring smooth restaurant operations during service hours. They play a critical role in resolving guest concerns promptly, maintaining a strong and positive presence on the floor, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture.

Beyond daily operational oversight, this role involves hands-on participation in scheduling, team training, and staff performance management. The Assistant General Manager will also manage key administrative responsibilities, including inventory control and cost management, working closely with culinary, bar, and hotel leadership teams to align goals and delivery. They will contribute to developing and implementing service standards that promote excellence and consistency throughout the guest experience.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • previous leadership experience in luxury hotel or upscale restaurant
  • strong financial acumen with experience in p&l management and budgeting
  • experience in hiring, training, and developing hospitality teams
  • excellent communication skills
