This particular position is a 2nd shift bartender role requiring weekend availability, offering an attractive work schedule that includes discounted downtown parking, weekly pay, DailyPay access, and free employee meals. The role is vital to the daily operations of the restaurant within the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, focusing on delivering excellent bartending service and guest satisfaction. The bartender will manage bar setup, maintain inventory, adhere to health and safety standards, and provide engaging, knowledgeable service to guests. The position requires an understanding of cocktail preparation, alcohol knowledge, customer interaction, and teamwork. The bartender will be responsible for supporting other restaurant operations through counter service, food running, table service, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous bartending experience required
  • Weekend availability
  • Ability to work 2nd shift
  • Must complete or possess TIPS certification
  • Must adhere to Health Department specifications
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform cleaning duties
  • Willingness to participate in department meetings and training

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Perform bartending service including proper setup of all garnishes, alcohol, wines
  • Maintain daily setup and/or breakdown of the bar area
  • Have full knowledge of alcohol and drink ingredients
  • Know each menu item and its ingredients including happy hour and specials
  • Be aware of local events to offer suggestions to guests
  • Follow and maintain Health Department specifications
  • Complete daily temperature logs and manage inventory rotation
  • Strive to exceed guest satisfaction and efficiently resolve guest concerns
  • Utilize time productively throughout the shift
  • Implement cost-saving measures by reducing waste and controlling expenses
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar and public areas
  • Attend TIPS training to properly card guests
  • Pour wine, beer, or prepare mixed drinks when required
  • Communicate daily drink specials with restaurant staff
  • Participate in nightly ordering and monthly inventory
  • Coordinate with restaurant managers on bar needs
  • Provide excellent customer service according to AHC standards
  • Monitor food and alcohol waste
  • Engage in restaurant cleaning and deep cleaning of the bar
  • Attend department meetings
  • Communicate effectively with management and team
  • Support restaurant operations including counter service, running food, and table service
  • Fulfill additional duties as requested by management
