We are currently seeking a dedicated Lot Porter to join our expanding team. This full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and safety of our lot, ensuring that all RV units are well presented and ready for customers. The Lot Porter will be responsible for moving and parking RVs efficiently, managing vehicle inventory, and keeping the outdoor lot aesthetically appealing and secure from weather conditions. This role requires a hands-on individual comfortable with operating yard tractors or forklifts, driving RVs, and performing basic maintenance and problem identification on units. A valid driver's license and the ability to work in various weather conditions are essential.

The Lot Porter position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.02 to $28.71, depending on experience, skills, and other relevant factors. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • towing experience preferred
  • ability to use yard tractor and/or forklift
  • ability to drive an RV
  • experience using generators and operating slide-outs
  • ability to repair small items and identify problem units
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices
  • prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling and bending
  • exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
  • environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Park and move RV units in a timely fashion
  • ensure window prices on recreational vehicles are installed and removed as instructed
  • maintain weekly lot washes and ensure all units and isles are clean
  • write work orders, track problems and ensure units are in proper working order
  • sweep, pick up trash and debris, empty garbage cans and keep lot clean and professional in appearance
  • keep units and equipment secure from weather
  • maintain physical inventory on a weekly basis
  • ensure slide-outs are in, jacks are down, steps are down, select awnings are opened and the doors are unlocked
  • maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
