The Loss Prevention Specialist role at Hamrick's is a full-time hourly position based in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, reporting to the District L.P. Supervisor, Corporate L.P. Manager, or Store Management. This role entails working both day and night shifts, playing a crucial part in protecting company assets by preventing inventory shrinkage and losses. The Loss Prevention Specialist is tasked with identifying, preventing, correcting, and eliminating losses caused by internal errors, external theft, and paperwork mistakes. The position requires collaboration with the Store Management Team to maintain shrinkage control and involves conducting thorough internal and external investigations. Key responsibilities further include preparing detailed reports, participating in court testimonies, and interviewing relevant parties using physical observations and CCTV monitoring. This role also encompasses conducting safety reviews, employee spot checks, physical security inspections, and managing the execution of emergency and disaster plans.

Job Requirements
- Must be 21 year of age or older
- basic knowledge of shoplifting laws and/or law enforcement experience required
- must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- ability of sitting for long periods, standing and being physically able to apprehend shoplifters
- ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis

Job Duties
- Partnership with Store Management Team to maintain control of shrinkage in all of its forms
- conducts internal and external investigations, writes and maintains reports, testifies in court cases, interviews subjects, suspects, witnesses, and victims via physical/CCTV means
- conducts safety reviews and inspections
- conducts routine employee spot checks on purchases, holds, personal belongings and trash
- conducts routine physical security checks
- responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of the emergency/disaster plan
- maintain accountability through clear performance expectations
- additional responsibilities to be determined as business requires
- works in partnership with store management in matters concerning loss prevention
