The role of Logistics Supervisor at SkyChefs presents a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about leadership, logistics, and operational excellence. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will lead and oversee a dedicated team of drivers, assistants, and ramp loaders to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of catering services to airline partners. Your responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, and coordinating transportation activities, assigning routes, and managing compliance with all relevant federal and airport authority regulations, such as DOT, OSHA, FDA, USDA.
Beyond route management, this role requires fostering a culture of safety and accountability, conducting team briefings, monitoring labor and fleet utilization, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational performance. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including culinary, warehouse, and customer service to ensure seamless handoffs and exceptional service delivery. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or ground operations, including team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, FDA, USDA, and aviation-related regulations
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and lead in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics or fleet management systems
