The organization is dedicated to facilitating knowledge sharing, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement through various formats such as meetings, trainings, peer-learning convenings, webinars, and on-site visits. This reflects the organization's commitment to strengthening family-related social services, improving operational efficiencies, and fostering collaborations across multiple agencies dedicated to similar goals. The employment type is full-time, given the comprehensive nature of the role’s responsibilities and the requirement for overseeing detailed logistics management across multiple types of event environments including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Regarding compensation, details are typically competitive within the sector and commensurate with experience and qualifications, emphasizing professional growth and mission-oriented impact.
The Logistics and Event Coordinator is a pivotal role within this setup, responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of events and meetings that support the organization's strategic objectives. This role demands high-level organizational skills to manage logistics such as scheduling, venue coordination, virtual platform management, material preparation, travel planning including adherence to federal travel regulations, registration processes, and follow-up activities. The coordinator ensures that each event is seamlessly executed, professional in presentation, accessible to all participants (complying with ADA and Section 508 standards), and aligned with the mission to deliver effective programmatic content to TANF agencies.
Beyond logistical expertise, the individual in this role acts as a crucial link between various stakeholders including federal partners, staff members, invited participants, vendors, and internal communications teams. The position requires a nuanced understanding of federal meeting and accessibility requirements. Additionally, the role involves budget monitoring, vendor contract oversight, and post-event reporting, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. The coordinator will also provide real-time support during events to promptly address and troubleshoot any issues, maintaining the integrity and smooth operation of every gathering. This position calls for a comprehensive blend of logistical proficiency, technical skills related to event platforms and tools, keen attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of the related policy areas to support effective event delivery and stakeholder engagement.
