Job Description
Hub Group Final Mile is a leading logistics company specializing in last-mile delivery solutions across the United States. Known for its commitment to efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction, Hub Group Final Mile focuses on providing superior service in the final stage of delivery, bridging the gap between shipment arrival and the customer’s doorstep. The company has established itself as a trusted partner in the transportation and logistics industry by leveraging innovative technology and a dedicated team to ensure on-time deliveries and seamless customer experiences.
Hub Group Final Mile is currently seeking Non-CDL Independent Contractors to join their team as Driver Helpers with 26-foot box trucks equipped with liftgates. This unique opportunity is ideal for owner operators who own, rent, or lease their own 26-foot box trucks with liftgates and who can ideally supply their own driver helper. The role is highly focused on appliance delivery and basic appliance installation, catering to a range of home appliances including refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and more.
This position offers competitive compensation, with gross earnings of up to $3,500 per week per truck, providing a lucrative opportunity for contractors seeking flexible work with strong income potential. Contractors benefit from local delivery routes that allow them to be home daily, which is ideal for those who want a balance between work and personal life. Weekly payments are made via direct deposit, with additional conveniences such as online access to settlements, ensuring that financial transactions are transparent and timely.
The role demands a reliable contractor who possesses a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and ideally professional experience in appliance installation or a strong willingness to learn this trade. Contractors must hold an active MC Operating Authority and DOT number registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) or be willing to obtain these credentials. Additionally, a personal set of tools is required to handle the installation tasks effectively.
As a Driver Helper on these teams, contractors will play a vital role in delivering and installing major household appliances, ensuring that each delivery is executed promptly and with the utmost care. Installations require the ability to follow detailed manufacturer specifications and use appropriate tools to assemble and adjust appliances properly. Teamwork is essential, as the role involves a two-person delivery team to manage the safe movement of heavy and bulky items, often requiring coordination and physical effort.
Working with Hub Group Final Mile provides an excellent opportunity for independent contractors who are entrepreneurial, customer-focused, and enjoy hands-on work in a dynamic logistics environment. The combination of competitive compensation, consistent local routes, and the support of a reputable logistics company makes this an attractive position for experienced and aspiring appliance delivery professionals alike. Hub Group’s commitment to contractor success is reflected in their prompt payment schedules, straightforward settlement processes, and emphasis on safety and professionalism.
