Job Description
Hub Group Final Mile is a leading logistics company specializing in final mile delivery services. Known for its commitment to efficient and reliable transportation solutions, Hub Group Final Mile operates as a part of the larger Hub Group network, which is recognized for providing comprehensive supply chain management and transportation services throughout the United States. The company focuses on connecting manufacturers, retailers, and consumers with dependable delivery options, ensuring that goods reach their final destination safely and on time. With a reputation for excellence and a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, Hub Group Final Mile has become a trusted name in the delivery industry.
This opportunity is for independent contractors who own, rent, or lease 26-foot box trucks equipped with lift gates to join the Hub Group Final Mile team. These contractors will be responsible for appliance delivery and installation services, operating local routes with home-daily schedules. The position is ideal for contractor teams that include a driver helper and can provide timely, professional service. The role offers competitive gross weekly earnings typically ranging from $2,500 to over $4,000 per truck, depending on the delivery location and volume. Payment is made weekly via direct deposit, with easy access to online settlements, providing financial stability and transparency for contractors.
The position demands experience or a willingness to learn the trade of appliance installation. Contractors need to be proficient in handling various home appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and more. The job requires a professional approach to safely and skillfully delivering and installing heavy appliances following manufacturer instructions and safety protocols. Physical ability to maneuver items using appropriate tools or assistance is essential, as is the ability to work as part of a two-person delivery team. Contractors must maintain valid driving credentials and meet regulatory requirements such as having an active MC Operating Authority and DOT number or be willing to obtain them.
As a contractor working with Hub Group Final Mile, individuals benefit from steady local delivery assignments that keep them home every day, eliminating the challenges of long-haul trucking. The position supports ownership autonomy, allowing contractors to manage their routes and work schedules within Hub Group’s operational framework. This flexibility, combined with competitive earnings and consistent weekly settlements, makes this an attractive opportunity for seasoned owner operators or those new to appliance delivery seeking a reliable source of income. Hub Group Final Mile also fosters a support system that encourages professional growth and excellent service standards, helping contractors expand their business and customer base in the final mile sector.
