The role of Ready-Mix Truck Driver at GCC is integral to the company’s operations and customer service. This position requires a professional driver with a CDL Class A or B license to operate a truck equipped with a concrete mixer, delivering high-quality concrete mix directly to various job sites. The driver is responsible for safely handling the ready-mix truck, ensuring deliveries meet slump specifications and customer requirements. Essential duties include performing pre-trip inspections of the truck in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, maneuvering through often unstable ground conditions on job sites, and managing the loading and unloading of concrete mixes. Drivers must also be able to handle ancillary materials such as admixtures according to delivery tickets.

Moreover, GCC expects its ready-mix drivers to maintain excellent communication and professionalism while interacting with customers and coworkers, especially in stressful situations. Drivers are accountable for calling in daily start times and adhering to company policies concerning safety, health, and documentation.
