The role offered is a Commercial Delivery Driver position with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, starting between 5:45 and 6:30 in the morning and ending between 2:15 and 3:00 in the afternoon. The pay rate for this position is $21.73 per hour. The Delivery Driver is responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of merchandise to customers following predetermined routes. This role requires a dependable individual who is capable of handling the physical demands of loading and unloading shipments — which can weigh between 60 to 100 pounds — and managing multiple stops daily, typically 15 to 30. The driver must maintain high safety and regulatory standards by adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and maintaining current medical certifications essential for commercial driving. Physical stamina is critical for this position, including the ability to bend, stoop, climb, twist, and stand for extended periods. Drivers must also be comfortable sitting and driving for long periods and working under different weather and traffic conditions. The job requires strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact effectively with customers and staff across all levels, ensuring that service quality remains high while also addressing any issues promptly. This role is a vital part of Edward Don & Company’s distribution process, acting as the company’s frontline representative to its customers and embodying its commitment to quality and reliability.
