Job Description

Upper Lakes Foods is a distinguished independent wholesale food distributor operating in Minnesota and the broader Upper Midwest region. With facilities strategically located in Cloquet, MN, Northfield, MN, and Janesville, WI, this company has established itself as a critical supplier to a diverse clientele including independent restaurants, schools, assisted living facilities, and both regional and national foodservice operators. Upper Lakes Foods is committed to building value not only for its customers but also for its employees, suppliers, and communities. This is done by delivering the highest quality products, recruiting and retaining top talent, and fostering innovative ideas to continuously improve service and product offerings. The organizational culture embodies integrity, teamwork, respect, a positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, which collectively contribute to a rewarding and supportive work environment for all employees.

As a Full-Time Straight Truck Driver at Upper Lakes Foods, your role transcends beyond mere transportation duties. While this position requires operating a company straight truck to deliver food products timely and accurately along established routes, it also involves maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring that every drop-off meets the high standards expected by clients. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required; a regular driver’s license suffices, opening opportunities to a broader range of candidates. This role involves precise execution of tasks such as daily vehicle inspections aligned with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, managing delivery documentation, loading and unloading products, and collecting payments when necessary. Additionally, the driver acts as a direct representative of Upper Lakes Foods, responsible for providing outstanding customer service at every stop, guaranteeing customer satisfaction and strengthening the company’s reputation throughout the Upper Midwest.

Working at Upper Lakes Foods means joining a team that values dependability, safety, and a customer-first mindset. This position is physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting of products up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting over 60 pounds, and the use of equipment such as hand trucks or dollies to transport larger loads. The role also demands adaptability to various weather conditions and active engagement in maintaining smooth warehouse and transportation operations. Upper Lakes Foods offers an environment where employees can grow their careers, benefit from comprehensive training programs, and contribute to a company that makes a meaningful impact in its service areas. If you are seeking a stable, rewarding career with opportunities to develop professionally within a supportive team, this Full-Time Straight Truck Driver position at Upper Lakes Foods is an excellent fit.
