Job Description
FreshPoint, a division of Sysco Corporation, is a leading wholesale distributor specializing in fresh produce and foodservice products. With its strong reputation and commitment to quality, FreshPoint serves a diverse range of clients including restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and hospitality venues. The company prides itself on delivering freshness and exceptional service, maintaining high standards in food safety and customer satisfaction. Located in Avon, MA, FreshPoint offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where employees can grow professionally while contributing to the success of a nationally recognized organization. Sysco Corporation, the parent company, is a premier global leader in selling, marketing, and distributing food products to restaurants, healthcare, and educational facilities. Known for its commitment to innovation, employee development, and community involvement, Sysco fosters an inclusive culture where every team member is valued. FreshPoint’s Avon branch is at the heart of food and service in the local community, focusing on ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional client service.
This role invites local CDL delivery drivers to join FreshPoint’s team, offering a full-time employment opportunity with home-daily routes that promote work-life balance. Drivers in this position operate under a cross-dock delivery model, frequently stopping to unload and deliver fresh produce and various foodservice products to client locations in the surrounding area. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent communication and professionalism. The delivery route schedule features early morning starts and 10-hour routes, which allow drivers to be home in time for dinner each day. FreshPoint offers competitive pay with earning potential up to $92,000 annually, based on experience and performance. In addition to a strong salary, the company provides an array of comprehensive benefits including paid vacation and holidays, health care coverage beginning shortly after hire, retirement plans, leadership development opportunities, career advancement through internal promotion, and employee rewards programs. Drivers use hand trucks to load and unload products from trailers, often managing items weighing up to 100 pounds. They are responsible for verifying deliveries, managing discrepancies, and adhering to Department of Transportation regulations to ensure safety and compliance. FreshPoint values its drivers as key contributors to its mission of exceeding customer expectations and invites applicants with CDL-A or CDL-B licenses to apply. The company supports equal employment opportunities and strives to maintain an inclusive workplace. This role is ideal for dedicated, hardworking individuals seeking a stable career in the logistics and food distribution industry with a respected organization committed to employee growth and satisfaction.
