The current opportunity available at FreshPoint is for Local CDL Delivery Drivers based in Avon, MA. This role is essential in ensuring that high-quality products reach customers efficiently and on time, while maintaining the highest standards of service and safety. The position is full-time with local routes that allow drivers to be home daily, promoting work-life balance. Shift hours are designed to enable drivers to be home in time for dinner, with early morning start times ranging from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM and routes lasting approximately 10 hours.
As a Local CDL Delivery Driver at FreshPoint, you will be responsible for running daily routes with frequent stops, loading and unloading products according to the order designated by the Transportation Department Manager. This job requires physical stamina as well as attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations. The driver will pick up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries at assigned loading docks and return the empty trucks to the lot at the route's end.
This customer-facing role demands excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to efficiently handle deliveries while delivering exceptional customer service. Drivers are expected to verify deliveries with customers, rectify any discrepancies, and maintain communication with management regarding any service issues. Physical demands include lifting and moving packages weighing up to 100 pounds, navigating ramps, stairs, and docks in varied weather conditions, and constant bending and twisting during loading and unloading.
