Routes are dedicated to specific drivers providing consistency, and most journeys last no more than 36 hours. Drivers work Sunday through Friday with evening dispatch schedules, providing reliable routines. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
  • minimum 1 year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted instead of or in addition to diploma
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • insurable to operate vehicle
  • knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
  • safe lifting and delivery practices
  • ability to drive tractor-trailer day and night in varied weather and traffic
  • ability to handle hazardous materials and food products
  • able to operate 3 axle tractor, 45' to 48' trailer, straight truck, on-board computer, keypad, and hand cart
  • English language proficiency to converse and understand traffic signs and to complete reports
  • basic math skills
  • able to plan, organize, and problem solve independently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree, plus tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
  • skilled in driving long distances and varied conditions
  • effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • ability to operate tractor trailer, straight truck, and related equipment
  • proficient English language skills including reading, speaking, and report completion
  • ability to perform basic math functions
  • good organizational and independent work skills

Job Duties

  • Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather
  • place products in designated customer storage areas according to specifications and standards
  • complete all paperwork such as DOT logs, vehicle maintenance reports, pre- and post-trip reports accurately and timely
  • ensure food safety protocols including temperature control and product inspection are maintained
  • maintain sanitary conditions in tractor, trailer, warehouse, and yard
  • develop good customer relationships through excellent, courteous communication
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
