The Full-Time Loader / Rail Switching Technician position at PSC Group is a critical role within the company’s plant operations, providing an excellent career path for individuals eager to enter the industrial chemical logistics field. Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pass drug screen, physical exam, and background check
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment without restriction
  • Pass any required medical examinations
  • Have regular on-site attendance and punctuality
  • Speak, read, and write fluent English
  • May require valid driver's license and/or TWIC card depending on work location

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in industrial or rail operations is a plus
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols
  • Strong communication skills in English including speaking, reading, and writing
  • Previous military experience is advantageous but not required
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to attend and succeed in on-the-job training programs

Job Duties

  • Clean and visually inspect the railcar before transfer to ensure mechanical soundness
  • Connect or disconnect loading arm hose for transfer of product
  • Inspect for any leaks, weigh railcars, and complete required paperwork
  • Examine track list to plan railcars to be spotted, separated, loaded, or built for shipment
  • Operate trackmobile or locomotive to safely move railcars in the plant
  • Communicate with rail team members, leadership, and customer contacts
  • Complete any other assigned duties to ensure job completion
