Job Description

Ted's Montana Grill is a distinguished full-service restaurant known for delivering a unique dining experience that goes beyond ordinary hospitality. With a brand identity centered around being Premium, Polished, and Professional, yet Cool—a concept they refer to as 3 PC—Ted's Montana Grill embraces what they call "The Big Sky Spirit," a cultural compass that guides every action within the company. This spirit is evident in the attention to detail, commitment to quality, and an environment that values team members deeply. The restaurant specializes in serving premium food cooked in a scratch kitchen, a space where every dish is crafted with utmost care and freshness. Their commitment to quality is underscored by the presence of an on-premise butcher shop where team members hand carve and grind beef and bison daily, ensuring peak freshness and premium flavor.

At Ted's Montana Grill, the Heart-of-House team, including Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers, are considered vital contributors to the restaurant’s success. These team members are not just behind-the-scenes workers but active participants who bring energy and showmanship to their roles. They interact directly with guests in the open display kitchens, connecting the culinary process with the dining experience in a way that is both engaging and transparent. This role is ideal for passionate individuals who relish working in a dynamic kitchen environment where no shortcuts, such as microwaves, are allowed, and every meal is cooked from scratch.

The restaurant is also deeply committed to the well-being of its team. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Ted's Montana Grill closes its doors on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, enabling employees to spend quality time with their families. Employees enjoy several benefits, including competitive wages, flexible schedules, medical benefits, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and ample career advancement opportunities—a testament to the company’s dedication to promoting from within, as half of its managers began as team members.

Working at Ted's Montana Grill means being part of a community that cherishes classic American heritage and provides a warm, memorable guest experience. It also means being part of a sustainable movement that respects the environment by supporting local growers, using eco-friendly products like paper straws and Boraxo soap, and making sustainable choices throughout the kitchen operations. The company’s steadfast commitment to people, product, and prosperity reflects a workplace that not only demands excellence but also fosters leadership, engagement, and a vibrant team culture for every employee.
