Job Requirements

  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and sorting linen
  • Willingness to work full-time during the day shift
  • Ability to follow hospital safety and linen handling protocols
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and behavior
  • Willingness to participate in training sessions and service evaluations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or laundry environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow detailed procedural guidelines
  • Strong attention to safety and cleanliness
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Collect, sort, weigh, and distribute linen and linen-related items including scrubs according to established policies and procedures
  • Participate in program service evaluation activities such as patient and provider surveys
  • Attend and participate in required training sessions
  • Proactively report safety concerns including hazardous environments or broken equipment
  • Follow up on identified issues and opportunities to improve service
  • Escalate issues and concerns to supervisors or appropriate stakeholders
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance consistent with the hospital's mission and core values
